Well, as we are getting into the development of our server and getting more exited in the process, time has come to promote the PayPal donation button to the right of the webpage!
Some of you have already donated kindly to the server, which goes towards internet costs and general running of the server (including upgrades)
Which leads me on to this, i'm currently looking at purchasing a better rig to run the server from, which will run 24/7 and have a smooth playing experience for all.
Ive looked into hiring a server but for the size of the game it probably isn't really worth it...
So...if you can spare anything (including small change!) anything is greatly appreciated, your name will be announced on the website for the month and also randomly throughout each day for a month to say thanks for the kind donation and support towards the server.
Thanks for hearing me babble on about this, if this doesn't suit you then by all means keep playing the game and enjoy! There is no obligation. :)

Just thought i should everyone know, i will be going away on holiday for 5 days (yippee!).
SOme of you may already be aware of this from irc and ingame.
How would this effect you and the server?
Well i thought about this and i should be able to keep the server running from my PC which i will be taking with me, it might just mean more downtime and slower connection, but with the low system requirements for Akarra it should be fine. :)
I will transfer all server files tonight for the trip in the morning so there shouldn't be any roll back.
So if you try and log in over the next 5 days and cant connect, dont be alarmed, it may be because i cannot have the server up at that time, or im having issues with the internet from where i am staying. :P

"New" Server PC is now set up and ready to go, accounts should be back to normal.
I will be upgrading the ram and might even throw in a new GPU at some stage but that wont affect the server at all.

As the title states, the server PC has said bye bye for the last time lol. Its spent 2 1/2 hours this morning pulling it apart and cleaning everything out trying to figure out what is causing the latest issues im having with it, but to no success. The PC has done well though, outlasting all the others that i have had.
Looks like it may have been the CPU this time that has failed, thermal paste is all dried up and cracked aswell (completely my fault lol), and not really worth replacing a CPU for it as it is old now.
I will have to wait to buy another which will probably be about Thursday next week, as my friend im buying it off works Thursdays-Monday. This PC will cost me about $50, in the mean time i will just run the server as i used too before i set up the "broken" PC. SO i apologies for this as there will be a slight roll-back for some players. When the new PC is set up things should be back to the normal.
Any help via donations are greatly appreciated.

As the weeks truck along i wonder "why are people not playing the server".
Well im happy to announce, over the last 3-4 days or so we have had influx of old and new players join our forums and also ingame. I hope this continue! :)
On a side note, you have probably noticed changes happening to the forum, mainly with the icons and stuff. I try my best to finish that off this weekend while im home from work. And ill also try and set up some vote links on the website for you guys to vote for the game through. :)

Just purchased some parts for my server PC.
These parts include:
New Hard Drive (Arrived)
New Sata Cable (Arrived)
New Wireless network card (Arrived)
When all these items arrive the server will be running as close to (if not) 24/7 for the players to enjoy!

All parts have arrived and its now my weekend! Will be setting up the server tommorow morning when i get up. I will me making a shelf for it and then doing a reformat of the hard drive before i set it up. :)
Should be up by lunchtime here, which will be around 2-3pm US time for those players.
There may be IP changes during this process so i there may be delays in between but i will keep you guys updated.

Recieved a loetter in the post from our electricity provider saying that they will be turning off power for the duration of the day (totally not happy about it!).
All services should be back up and running by the end of the day (in about 8-10 hours)
The plus side to this is that i done a upgrade and reformat last night so everything is running lovely now. :)

I have had an influx of emails and interest regarding the server, as of today i will have the server online as much as i can. Also, i am in discussions with some of the close community in regards to the future of the server and the future development for it.
